Olay daily facials/clear complexion?

Tuesday, July 13th, 2010

Hello everyone, I have acne & every single day I use ‘ Aveeno clear complexion for acne prone skin. ‘
It works, but I was wondering.
Does the Olay daily facials help clear up acne?

If so, I would use the Olay daily facials in the morning & the Aveeno clear complexion for acne prone skin at night.

Would that help make my acne go away faster, & just basically have a clear complexion?
Suggest your thoughts please!

What daily facial cleanser would you recommend?

    Tuesday, June 29th, 2010

I’m looking for a good facial cleanser that can be used daily and which actually works. Something that can help with acne, moisturize, and give you that tingly feeling (so you feel like it’s actually working). I have sensitive skin, so some things may not be right. There’s a large selection out there, andI don’t know what to choose. It’d also be great if it wasn’t expensive either.
It’d be great if a link was provided to the product’s website!

What skin care products can I do without?

    Sunday, June 20th, 2010

I used to suffer from acne but now only get the occasional blemish. My skin is normal/dry.

All I currently use is an antibacterial face wash, oil-free day moisturizer with SPF and NeoStrata night cream with alpha hydroxy acid. And all that seems to be working fine, but …

Is an exfoliator necessary? They seem to be a waste of time to me with their p*ssy little beads … they don’t seem to smooth or brighten my complexion the way AHA does.

Is a toner necessary? People used to believe they minimize pores but more and more reports are saying that’s cr*p. Are they primarily for oily skin? My skin ISN’T oily.

Finally, do I need an eye cream? I’m only 19 but it’s probably better to start young. Are they effective? Or just a marketing ploy to make you spend more money?

Any beauty/skin care consultants or even dermatologists out there to help me out?
All I’m using is a cleanser, day cream with SPF, and night cream with AHA … ? How is that too many products?

I tried ProActiv when I DID have acne and I broke out in rashes all over my face so that didn’t work. I no longer have acne and the products I’m using are working great so I’m not going to switch any of them.

What I’m asking is; do I need an exfoliator, toner or eye cream to add to my regime? Alot of people recommend them but I don’t see the point.

Sorry if you misunderstood my question.
Ok, I probably could have worded ^^ a little better.

My skin has been combination at different points in my life. Oily when I was younger, dry when I was on Accutane. Normal now. I only get blemishes hormonally ie. during my period. The products I am using I am totally happy with, I don’t want to change them … I’m asking if it’s necessary I add a toner/exfoliant/eye cream.

    Wednesday, June 16th, 2010

I need help w/my 4-step. I am a consultant but stopped doing spas because I cannot sell skincare when my skin looks so bad!

I started Gold (I’m 35) in October & began have a lot of oil on my face & breakouts. Before BC, I would get the occasional breakout around my period. I then started using All Clear in the a.m. & Gold in the p.m. Still, nothing was better. I then started with All Clear in the a.m. & Equations in the p.m. My skin looked better but acne still there.

I haven’t changed my diet, stress, etc. just my skincare. I don’t have sensitive skin but thought Equations may help.

My skin feels soft where it isn’t broken out but my chin is horrid. I have 2 other clients with same complaint (one Gold & the other Platinum). I do 4 step, Cell Block-C & Reprogram each day. Detox. mask & microderm 1-2 x/month.

So, is BC just not for us? Please help! I tried my director but she isn’t helpful. I hope that another consultant will have answers or know what to do from experience.

Discover The Facts About Acne Causes

    Monday, June 29th, 2009

For a ridiculous number of years acne has been the terror of an enormous number of teenage lives, and, a topic rarely mentioned. People who have suffered with acne have been aggressively tormented and reased, plus horrifically called names such as pimple faces. Only those who have unfortunately suffered from the disease can truly understand how enormously damaging such name throwing can prove to be. Over time interesting puzzles have been unraveled in the causes and symptoms of acne which have also aided the creation of effective treatments.

    What Is Acne Really?

Acne is the name of an inflammatory disease of the skin commonly found in teenagers. It displays itself by the production of excess sebum from sebaceous glands in the hair follicles which eventually become blocked. Acne can cause a malfunction in the follicles and pores in the skin of the arms, chest and back but also including the skin of the face. those follicles and pores which have become blocked are medically labeled as comedo.

The comedone are those the plugs which block the pores which is made up of keratin and sebum. A comedo can be either open or closed. An open comedo is what most people call a ‘blackhead’, whereas the closed comedo is commonly referred to as a ‘whitehead‘.

Once a comedone has formed it is usually followed by the most unpleasant and noticeable symptom of acne – spots. First the comedone becomes infected and with this comes redness and inflammation of the skin, which then leads to an outbreak of zits. The spots often become filled with pus and the skin surrounding the pimple looks very red and is sore to the touch.

There are two types of bacteria responsible for the inflammation and infection in acne, these are called Staphylococcus epidermidis and Propionibacterium acnes and Staphylococcus epidermidis. As well as being responsible for the formation of pus filled pimples, acne cysts and abcesses can occur.

    Acne Causes

Our Scientists have made incredible moves forward in the knowledge of the processes in the formation of, and the management of, acne. Alarmingly there has been few advances in the comprehension of the reasons for the development of acne. Overall, it is almost globally accepted thatvarious factors, for example stress, diet and hormones can all play a part in the role of acne development.

There are scientists that are researching the fact that our genes may be a factor in acne also. No matter what the causes of acne are, this ongoing research can only be of benefit in the long term, in both the treatment and understanding of acne.
